What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Story
Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter is a charity set up to provide a service to vulnerable people who are sleeping out on the streets of Milton Keynes during the coldest months of the year. We hope to continue and to expand this service in the next year by fund raising and donations.
So on the 31st March 8pm to 6am 1st April 2017, a group of us from MKWNS will be participating in a Sponsored Sleeping-Out Night in CMK to not only raise funds, but also to raise awareness of the plight of homelessness and the difficulties arising from these situations.

3 years agoThank you everyone. Mission accomplished...great experience and a humbling one! My back and bottom was abit sore but wouldn't miss it!! 20 people participated and it was good fellowship. Thank you also to the Jaipur Restuarant for providing hot water and toilet facilities up to closing time.

3 years agoHi Thank you everyone for your kindness and generosity in supporting this cause. The WNKMS Project will end this week and reopen again next winter. The good news is that the charity had bid and has been granted the part use of the Buszy (the old bus station opposite the train station CMK) for the next 3 and hopefully 5 years as the Reception/Assessment cafe for these 'guests'. There will be some renovations this summer to get the building fit for its purpose. Also, WNSMK hope to increase the bed spaces from 16 to about 30 next winter.
