Story
This appeal is for Kimberley, she is just 27 years young, who should have her whole life ahead of her, but instead 18 months ago she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer which is now terminal. For 7 years Kimberley had run successfully her own business in Leicestershire, which last year she had to give up because of the pain she was in and the Chemotherapy Treatment made her so unwell.
Due to the type of Cancer and the treatment Kimberley has lost all hope of ever having her own family, which she so dearly wanted. This was a devastating shock to her and James.
Kimberley is not a person to give up and her determination to fight this battle and find a cure,
after much research into Immunotherapy she feels that this would be beneficial to either prolong or hopefully cure her condition. The only downfall is that it is NOT available on the NHS.
If any complications should arise the remaining money will be given for immunotherapy treatment to help other people in a similar situation.

6 years agoUPDATE! PART #1 We have now been for a private consultation at the London Oncology Clinic. Dr Krell at the LOC in London was very positive about the immunotherapy being a suitable treatment for Kimberley’s type of cancer. He has suggested a few different options, these include private treatment here in the UK using an immunotherapy drug called Nivolumab and immunotherapy treatment at a clinic in Ludwig, Switzerland. Treatment in the UK with any immunotherapy drug is dependent on the ethics board agreeing as they are still unlicensed.

6 years agoPART #2 He also mentioned that there was a trial that Kimberley may potentially be suitable for in America. Unfortunately, unlike the UK, trials in America are not free and so Kimberley would still need to pay for any trial/treatment outside the UK. So far, the offline donations total is £1,465.00 The offline donations include generous individual donations and money raised from events. Music in the Park - £169.00 Ladies Pamper Evening - £436.00 Ilfracombe Co Op bake sale - £187.00
