Story

So... in a couple of weeks, the six weeks holidays start. For the kids, it's time for fun, sun, playing out and growing up.. oh the joys of being out from dusk to dawn with your friends.

But... Did you know, 6 out of 10 parents on a low income struggle to feed their children without free school meals? Did you know 1 in 5 parents skip meals so their child can eat?

Salford is a deprived area. It's a fact. There's a much higher percentage of families on low incomes than the surrounding areas.

This is an utterly rubbish position to be in and anyone could be in this position at any point.

If your feelings lean towards 'charity starts at home' or 'they should stop watching Jeremy Kyle and get a job', scroll on by.

If not, donate a couple of quid and I'll ensure it buys some great food to be passed to the right people and go to help the children in the area.

I've felt true hunger, it's bloody awful.

Funds are fabulous or you can contact me for details of where to drop off food parcels
