Hi my name is Kim and im kindly asking if anyone would please like to help support me raise money for my Dad John. 6 weeks ago my Daddy was sadly diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, a illness with no second chance and no cure.💔

For just over 2 years now my dad has waited on some sort of diagnosis, 3 1/2 stone lighter with wasting muscles, no energy my dad struggled but battled on without a complaint. He was taken into hospital after taking a turn for the worse, it took 10 days of tests but Nothing prepaired him and us for the diagnosis he got, to say we were heartbroken and devastated was an understatement our worlds were threw upside down in seconds.

Its a very cruel rare disease which affects around 120 people here in Northern Ireland.

MND is a severely life shortening condition, half of the patients with this live 3 years from the start of symptoms, it affects the brain and spinal cord, leaving you completely paralyzed, unable to speak, eat, swallow and communicate and eventually breath. Leaving your mind locked inside your body As you can still see and hear.

My dad has worked all his life to support his family a MAN UTD FAN who loved to play golf he appreciates the little things in life. Nothing gives him more pleasure than going to watch his grandsons play in their football match, just a pure gentleman who doesnt deserve this cruel illness, would do anything for anyone. Hes just my world, my brothers best friend and my mums life, he has 4 Grandsons who he lives for.. who just love him so much. He thinks the absolute world of his daughter in law and son in law he just loves them as as if they were his own kids.

It would mean alot if i could get help towards the cost of a communication device its around £2,000 that works with linking your eyes, in the later stages off his illness. Im just trying to make my dads short time with us the best i can.

If i could achieve this on my own i would, i need to be realistic and prepair as time is not on his side and when my daddys battle with this cruel illness comes to an end I will give it to the (MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION..IN NORTHERN IRELAND) so it can help others communicate with their loved ones.

We have now enough raised to buy the communication device for my dad and any extra funds we are going to put towards getting a Voice Bank. As most people who have been supporting us now know Motor Neurone Disease Is very cruel 💔 leaving your mind locked in your body, the only thing u can do is see and hear. Everything needs to be gotten in advance because my dads deteriorating quite rapidly!.

Ballot sales raised £1,500 so thank you so much to everyone who donated raffle prizes we would never have raised this without you.

We now have £1,000 also for the Motor Neurone Association to help others also , we’ve received some more donations which we are giving to the hospice as they have been absolutely amazing with my dad, when he attends weekly.
