Kimmys Zoo is a small local business in Ipswich Suffolk who provide educational animal visits in the East of England at Schools, Care homes, Parties and Clubs. We have a menagerie of Exotic Animals who are very special to us and those who have had the pleasure of meeting them.

Due to the pandemic we have been unable to work for the majority of the past year and as the animals are kept at our premises. The councils gave minimal support for businesses who do not have a rateable property regardless of the business type. Unfortunately we cannot pack them away like a disco and hope for the days we can get back to work. Due to no work we have lost in the past year £50,000 due to not being able to do our visits and we have only been given just under £5000 in total funding.

Unfortunately we have now run out of all funds and have decided to do a sponsored walk with our Kimmys Zoo Team of Staff & Volunteers, unfortunately we cannot have the public join us due to restrictions but if you would like to do your own sponsored fancy dress walks in your town or local parks please do!!! and send us the pictures.

This will keep us going until things pick up for the peak of summer and we will be able to sustain ourselves once again working at full capacity.

Sadly we have lost Mowgli the sugar glider among others during the lockdowns and these funds will also go towards getting him a new friend and veterinary fees for our snake as well as keeping us afloat until June.

Also very sadly we have just had to rehome some of our animals to a sanctuary including our retired meerkat mob to save money on feed and electricity.  Although retired, these animals have brought joy to hundreds of people and are our family but decisions had to be made to try to save money where we can which has ultimately led us here to this fundraiser to ask your for your help.

We are asking for your help to sponsor us to raise the much needed funds. We will be wearing animal fancy dress and will be walking 1k for every £100 we raise. You can do your own sponsored walks or bake sales or even just share the page on your social media and whatsapp groups.
