I've raised £1000 to help fund a new hide at Paxton pits

As a family living in Little Paxton we have spent many hours at Paxton Pits enjoying the walks, events, and the education centre. During lockdown we have felt very fortunate to have this beautiful area on our doorstep for our daily exercise.
Unfortunately on the 24th April 2020 a fire occurred at the kingfisher hide, and although firefighters were able to extinguish it the hide was destroyed. Both of my children were gutted by this, Harry (age 3) on seeing it said "I've got tears in my eyes". Therefore we would like to raise funds to help with the rebuild.
To raise money we are setting ourselves some challenges relating to Kingfisher facts. There may be as few as 4,800 breeding kingfisher pairs in the uk therefore we will be climbing up and down our stairs 4,800 times in a month. Also each saturday and sunday we must do 46 star jumps (kingfishers weigh up to 46 grams), 25 laps of our garden (they dive up to 25m), and doing 17 mountain climbers (they are up to 17cm in length). We will be working together as a family to achieve this and will update our total regularly!
Paxton Pits relies on support from the charity The Friends of Paxton Pits. It is run by volunteers but the lockdown currently prevents them from holding any events or opening the visitors centre. We would like to give the money to them to use to support the rebuilding of the hide, meaning that any extra money raised can be then used in the continued support of the nature reserve.
