I've raised £5000 to Fund as many defibrillators for local sports facilities as possible. Giving immediate access right next to the facilities is vital.

Story

On May 25th I will be attempting to run an Ultramarathon from Bramall Lane - Hillsborough - Oakwell - John Smiths Stadium - Valley Parade - Elland Road totalling over 50 miles. Our Pro Player coaches will be joining me for different legs of the run too.

All sports facilities that have children and adults playing sports should have immediate access to defibrillators right next to the pitch or court in case of an emergency. Early defibrillation saves lives - If defibrillation occurs within five minutes of cardiac arrest, the person has a survival chance of 50-70%, this drops by 10% for every further minute they do not have access to a defibrillator.

We will be trying to raise as much money as possible to fund new defibrillators for as many sports facilities local to our Pro Player base at Kettlethorpe High School so they can have them on hand right next to where the sports are being played.

No person should be at risk because the access to a defibrillator isn’t right next to the facility being used, as we have seen in recent times with Elite footballers anything can happen. But the most important thing is being equipped to deal with any incident that may occur.

Any support would be hugely appreciate!
