    Story

Exciting developments are planned but help is needed!

Kingussie Camanachd Club is delighted to announce that an application to the Leader Fund for the 2017 Dell Upgrade project has been successful.

The Leader Fund has offered £106,913.00. Two other grants have also been secured; from Scottish Hydro Electric Community Trust and from Highland Council Ward Discretionary.

The Club is now only £10,000 away from being able to proceed with this one-off opportunity to dramatically improve the venue at the Dell. We are hoping to raise the funds through Just Giving and our 'Buy an Engraved Brick' Campaign.

The Club has a Vision for 2017 to create a top 21st Century shinty venue. The Dell is considered to have the best playing surface in Scotland and the Club is planning to upgrade the facilities to try and match the standard of the pitch.

Since the purchase was made in 2010 the Kingussie Club has made some improvements including the stop-ball fencing and cafe. The construction of the café has proved that is is possible to have facilities at the Dell despite it being on a flood plain.

The Club would now like to take the venue to a new standard, which will be of a quality that could attract National Finals, and will be a major improvement for players, visitors and home supporters. 5 key new features are planned.

100 Seater Grandstand to be located on the home side.

Purchase of a modern second-hand top quality sit-on mower.

Team rooms built to replace the dugouts on each side.

Tarmac the road and tar plainings on the car park.

Mains electricity supply to provide power to run the café and a scoreboard.

Our fundraising page is www.kingussiedellupgrade.com where you can also buy a personal or a corporate engraved brick.

Thank you in advance for all your support. KCC
