Story
On Monday 6th August, myself and Rozy will be taking on the challenge to climb 2372 ft up the 2nd highest peak of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, Ingleborough.
Money raised will be donated to Community Growth Initiative, a charity dedicated to providing education to the youth of Ghana. We hope we can rely on your donations to help fund this amazing project!
"Imagine going to school, ready to learn and climb the ladder to success!
You turn up, only to find that there are no chairs to sit on, or any tables to study on. The classroom is empty, and there are no books or writing materials.
This is the situation many children in the poor regions we work in face every day. Having walked a long distance to school often there are no resources when they get there, or the classroom is full, with too many students per student.
Our lifelong aim is to provide education for the locals of Northern Ghana. We hope to build a school for which we desperately need your help, via donations.
Our top priority include health promotion, literacy and language skills, sanitation as well as Islamic studies.
We have visited Ghana several times over the past few years and so far have managed to secure the land, ready for building work to commence.
All we need now are your generous donations to make this work."
