In 2013 we lost a little angel called Ria from within our close circle of friends just prior to her seventh birthday. In her memory her parents, and our good friends, have channeled their time, energy and emotions into organising charity nights to raise money for the organisations that helped them enrich the quality of life they gave to Ria in the short number of years they had with her. The first event was a huge success and the second function is taking place in November 2017. They are splitting all funds raised five ways to donate to four children with special needs plus one fifth of the proceeds to be donated to Make a Wish Charity.

My contribution is to participate in tough mudder, with all funds raised to be donated to the forthcoming charity night in November. This is a cause where every pound raised will directly contribute to making a positive impact on those that need it. Hence I am prepared to run in 12 miles of mud, with over 20 obstacles.

So come on and please dig your pockets a little to help make a difference to a few children. I'll be posting a picture of myself at the finish line completely battered, that must be worth a few bob.
