Our family’s world has been turned upside down after a devastating quad bike accident while on a family holiday in Greece.

My husband and son were involved in a horrific crash that has changed our lives forever. Tragically, my husband passed away from his injuries, leaving behind a heartbroken family trying to come to terms with this unimaginable loss.

While also leaving behind our 3 yr old twins Kyra and Aruv, he has also left behind our oldest son Arjun.

Arjun survived the accident but has suffered very serious injuries. He has had his spleen removed, fractured his collarbone, and broken his femur. He has had 2 major surgeries so far and still has to have another surgery on his femur.

Doctors are advising that Arjun can travel back to the UK to have his further surgery and treatment but not by commercial airline as there are too many risks involved for a 14 year old who has undergone multiple major surgeries in such a short space of time and young age, this is due to the potential problems involved with the airlines cabin pressure that can be caused to his body.

The other option they have given for my son is that he remains in Greece for now but moved to another hospital in-land. Although an option, this would mean at least another 3 weeks away or potentially longer.

With the preparation under way and with the support from my family, my husbands funeral will be taking place in the next few weeks, as he is due to arrive back to back home in the UK this evening. This could mean that my son would not be able to say his final goodbyes to his father as we attempt to arrange the funeral for Ray.

As a family, we are desperately trying to raise funds for a medical air ambulance so we can bring our son Arjun safely back home to the UK to continue his recovery surrounded by his loved ones and unfortunately his final goodbyes to his dad.

This has been the most painful and traumatic time of our lives emotionally, physically, and financially.
