Weʼve raised £374 to get a glucose machine for the LDU at Addenbrookes who helped save my life when I was 14 years old
- Funded on Wednesday, 8th January 2020

Story
When I was 14 years of age I nearly died from Metabolic Acidosis which is a disorder that occurs when the body produces excessive amounts of acid, such as ketoacids or lactic acid; the kidneys are unable to remove enough acid produced from normal metabolism; or the body loses too much bicarbonate ion.
The LDU Team helped saved my life the Drs Patrick Deegan, Chon Yew Tan, Paul Flynn and also the Specialist Nurses Julie Chapman and Liz Morris and Dietian Sar Donald. They have helped me many time and will continue to do so.
I would like to help them by raising funds for a glucose machine. So please donate if you can and help me and many more people like me because without this team I wouldnt be here today!!
