I have decided to take up my position on the ITF Scotland taekwon-do team. This means that I will be flying out to Itay to compete at my first ever European Taekwon-do championships! This is a massive stepping stone for me as a competitior. However it costs roughly £1000 to go as you have to pay for New sparring gear, new dobok(suit), scotland team tracksuit, scotland team t-shirts, flights, hotel, entry fee, etc. This is why i require your help. I have been doing taekwon-do for over 9 years now. It has become a massive part of my life. I have competed all around the UK winning a large number of medals. Here is a photo of me from my first ever competition to my most recent competition.

In both photos am second from the left. I still get the same excitement now as i did at my first competition. I now have the opportunity to take my competing to a national level! This is a massive stepping stone in my career. I still remember my first class. Well... it was my brothers first class my offical first class wasn’t until a week later. At first i wanted to join in because my brothers where doing it but as I was sitting up the back of the class with my parents i was fascinated by what was happening so, I was copying everything they were doing from the back. I had no idea i would make it to where i am now. Since starting Taekwon-do it has opened up so many doors for me. I learned to have confidence, i learned how to teach and encourage others, i have won both local and national awards for my devotion to the sport, the list is endless. But now I get to represent my country!
