Garforth brass band is a 4th section band and a little over a year ago we had only a handful of players. What a difference a year makes, through hard work and determination from a brilliant team. In March we were able to go to the Yorkshire Area Brass Band competition, and not only did we have almost a full band but we came second! This won us a place at the national championships in Cheltenham in September. To go to represent Garforth and Yorkshire at the Nationals we need to raise money to hire a coach and book accomodation as well as pay our enterance fee. I‘ve signed up to do Race at Your Pace for May and will run/walk 75 miles to raise money to help get us there!
