Story

jacks battle with Niemann pick type c My name is lydia I'm 10 years old and on the 9th of November I will be cycling 30miles from Selby to York and back to help raise funds for my cousin Jack .Jack was recently diagnosed with Niemann pick type c this is a rare neurodegenerative disease for which there is no effective treatment the condition is gradually affecting Jack's motor skills and balance, speech and eye movements. Unfortunately a few weeks ago Jack had some complications and had to undergo urgent surgery to remove a large blood clot from his spine he spent all August in hospital and now has to deal with spinal nerve damage as well as the progressive effects of Niemann pick I am cycling to raise money for much needed aids and equipment and hoping to make adaptations to his home I would be very grateful for any amount you could spare all money will go directly to Jack's family to get him the help he needs many thanks lydia grace
