I'm raising £3,000 for a cold cot in loving memory of Angus Charlie Evans
On the 3rd Feb 2025 our baby boy Angus was born sleeping at 24 weeks 1 day. Our hearts are broken but the staff who looked and are still looking after us are incredible. At the kings mill hospital they have a butterfly suite where family's can stay with their baby until they are ready to go home, some families go in for a standard scan hear those awful words and have nothing with them. Most of the things in the room have been donated from previous grateful families and there is so much thought and care gone into it. It has everything in it you and your partner would need from toiletries to clothes and keepsakes.
The room has a cold cot allowing you the time to spend with your baby giving you some closure. On the day I gave birth we had to go in a normal labour room with pregnant ladies giving birth to healthy babies in the next room this was because there was already 2 family's in our situation that day in the butterfly suites. Later that day one of the other family’s had left so were moved into the butterfly suite, it got us wondering how many times this happened and if families missed out on time with their babies because of the shortage of cold cots.
We’ve spoken to our bereavement midwife and told her we would like to donate a cold cot in loving memory of Angus. These cold cots cost around £3000 so we are keeping our minds busy by raising this money to support the hospital because we will be forever grateful for how we was treated while we was with them.
from creating this page we have had so much support and so many have said they wished cold cots were available when they was in our situation so we have decided to raise £6000 for 2 cots now the second one in memory of all the babys who never got the extra cuddle.
If you would like to help support us in any way however big or small the donation we would be most grateful.
Thank you for your time
