I've raised £100 to raise funds for 2 charities - Diabetes UK and Octopus for a Preemie UK

On the 23rd of September I will be taking part in a 5k assault course race. This is daunting as not only am I not an exercise person, but I also have anxiety (especially in large crowds), and I was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 8 months ago and this is the first big activity I have decided to do since my diagnosis.
It will be a challenge and I decided that I want to raise funds and awareness for 2 causes that are important to me at the same time.
The first is Diabetes UK - they do fantastic work and are constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of people living with diabetes, and hopefully one day they will actually be able to cure type 1, how amazing would that be?!
The second is Octopus for a preemie UK (not a registered charity yet, but its in process - more info on the cover photo) - this is a cause I really care about and everyone involved is a volunteer, including me. We crochet and knit octopus which are medical aids for preemie babies - the octo's calm the babies and give them something to hold instead of pulling out their tubes/wires that are helping them to get better. We also provide them for 'angel' babies along with a bereavement pack. I was a preemie, and my little brother was a preemie angel baby.
Any funds for these causes will make a huge difference, even £1.no matter how small. I really appreciate any help and support you can give me for my upcoming challenge!
