Story
Our local food bank ‘Key 2 Life’ on Boldon Lane is struggling to cope with the amount of local families needing help and support right now. This organisation relies on its amazing volunteers/charitable donations and does incredible work protecting the most vulnerable in times of need.
After hearing this I started to think about how I could bring our community together and help fellow North East families struggling at such a difficult time....
So with that in mind I have decided to take on the 100K in May challenge to raise funds desperately needed to sustain the food bank. I will be running the equivalent of around 2 and a half marathons or 5 GNR’s. I have never actually ran to this extent before so will be a massive challenge!!

Hopefully this will raise money for an amazing cause to allow them to provide basic necessities for those in need across South Tyneside.
I know times are hard for everyone right now but anything you can donate will go directly to helping those in our own community. I will be giving regular updates on my progress through Social Media over the coming weeks (Instagram @kirsty345 and Twitter/Facebook) ... I hope you can help and be part of the community spirit and looking after those around us that makes the North East the greatest place on earth. Let’s do this! 👊 🏃♀️
