I've raised £10000 to raise money for a new bereavement suite in the . Labour ward at Hillingdon Hospital.

On the 13th of September 2019 our beautiful son Kit Alexander Hayden was born sleeping at Hillingdon hospital.
The care and the support we were shown from the bereavement midwives was absolutely outstanding and the 4 midwives that looked after us were truly the most wonderful and inspiring woman we have ever met.
We were lucky to meet them even though it was the most heartbreaking situation my husband and I have ever been through.
In memory of our son we want to be able to give something back.
Sadly this happens way to often and we would like to help newly bereaved parents by helping fund a new bereavement suite in the Labour ward at Hillingdon Hospital.
I went into hospital on the morning of the 11th of September and for 2 days I stayed in the same room.
Kit was born at 12.20 am on the 13th of September.
For those 2 days I didn't leave the room so it's really important that this new suite is as comfortable as it possibly can be.
The parents that will be using it will be going through the toughest few days of their lives.
Before we left the hospital the midwives arranged a photographer to come in and take pictures of of us all and kit, she took foot and hand prints from Kit too. We were given a blanket and a little hat for him and we were given the most beautiful memory box, all of these memories and gifts we will treasure forever.
The bereavement suite gives bereaved parents an opportunity to spend some time with their child. To be able to hold and kiss their child, to sing to them, to read to them and just some time and privacy so they can give all the love they would of given that child in a lifetime.
Thank you for listening to our beautiful boys kit's story, he wasn't here very long but he will always be in our hearts.
