Story
My daughter Elsie is five and three quarters and we are hoping to raise money to build a garden room at home for her to be able to continue her rigorous physiotherapy. Elsie has a severe deformity of her lower limb, hypotonia (low muscle tone) Hypermobility and thoracolumbar hydromyelia. She also has an undiagnosed neurological condition and shares symptoms with diseases such as ehlers-danlos syndrome and tethered cord syndrome to name but two. She’s facing many painful operations, leg lengthening, a fixed frame, not to mention the impact this has on the rest of her body. Her knee, hips and back are put under enormous stress. Every minute of physiotherapy we can do now will improve her life forever. Dramatic as it sounds, I can’t expeess how important this is for us. We work hard, we’ve saved hard.
Every penny in her fund will make a massive difference for her

6 years agoOctober half term is almost over, we’ve had some wonderful adventures. But it’s very clear that Elsie’s foot has slipped back round into a clubbed position making it almost impossible to put her AFO splint on. We are back to Chelsea and Westminster hospital in a few weeks for a holding cast, then back the following week for another cast. Hopefully this will ease her pain for a little while. Thanks for supporting us along the way xx

6 years agoThank you to everyone who helped us raise over £2k, we have (almost) met our target for Elsie’s physio room. However, 4 days after Elsie’s 6th birthday we were told that there is no nerve and muscle function on her left side. Our only hope to save her leg from amputation is to get her to St. Louis as soon as possible. With this in mind, and with our ongoing fundraising we hope you will understand the increase in our target. We will build Elsie’s physio room as soon as we can. Thank you all ☺️

6 years agoAfter our appointment at Chelsea and Westminster hospital yesterday, we asked some very hard questions and were given some difficult to process answers. I can’t tell you how important it is that we plough on and raise as much money as we possibly can to put in Elsie’s fund. She has a very uncertain few years ahead of her..
