Story
On 20th July a team from Cornerstone Barristers will cycle from King's Lynn, all the way round the Norfolk coast to Manningtree, Essex. The idea is to raise funds for The Cornerstone Barristers Foundation.
The idea started in 2014 when we cycled from our Cardiff Office to our London Office in memory of a colleague, Peter Miller. We raised a phenomenal amount of money for the hospice who cared for Pete in his final days, not to mention celebrating his memory with an exhausting but rewarding trip, and we have continued the idea since.
This year, Cornerstone Barristers (where Pete practised) set up a foundation to help encourage students from less advantaged backgrounds to think about coming to the Bar. We’d like to honour our original idea of a long distance, gruelling bike ride in Pete’s memory and integrate that with the newly established foundation.
