Assalamu alikum, I am raising £1000 in the memory of my late grandfathers, Dr. Khandker Abdur Razzak and Yasin Ali Sarker.

I have lost my grandfather (Dadu) one month prior to my birth. Unfortunately, I did not get to personally meet him but his legacy runs through my father and his 6 other children.

My second grandfather (Nanu), sadly passed away last year in Bangladesh.Unfortunately, I was not there in his last moments as I live in the UK. He was an amazing figure whom I looked up to as a role model and was an inspiration to many in his community because of his effort to help and support the community.

As a grandchild I feel the responsibility to honour them by donating to 400+ poor orphans in Bangladesh who do not have anyone to support them. I have decided to raise £1000 (changed from the initial amount of £900) the 400+ orphans who live and study in Jamia Arabia Hafijia Qariana Madrasha (Islamic school) Alongside the needy who do not have a financial means to support themselves, especially during COVID-19.

The money you donate will provide them with the following:

- Quraan and educational resources
- Clean clothes
- Food for iftaar
- Clean water

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two” – and he gestured with his forefinger and middle finger, holding them apart. Al-Bukhaari, 5304.

Please donate generously for children who do not have fathers and mothers and those who are less fortunate than us.
