Story
This Christmas, kmfm’s Give A Gift returns, supported by Stoner Motor Company.
After last year’s incredible response, kmfm’s Give A Gift is back and we’re ready to make this Christmas even more special for children across Kent.
This year, the campaign is proudly supported by Stoner Motor Company, and together we’re aiming to make 2025 our biggest year yet.
What’s Give A Gift all about?
Give A Gift is all about spreading kindness and Christmas magic to young people in Kent who are going through tough times, whether they’re in hospital, care, or facing difficult circumstances at home.

Many children sadly won’t have a present waiting under the tree, but with your help, we can change that by delivering toys and gifts that bring smiles and a little festive sparkle where it’s needed most.
When can I donate?
We’re now welcoming donations from our listeners, local businesses, and friends of the station.
Please note donations close Friday 5th December, and our JustGiving page will close at midnight on Thursday 4th December, so don’t miss your chance to make a difference!
What kind of gifts are we looking for?
We’re collecting new toys and gifts for children and young people of all ages, from infants through to teenagers. Great ideas include toys, books, games, puzzles, or creative sets that bring joy and comfort.
To keep things safe, please avoid donating toy weapons, food items, or second-hand toys.
How can I get involved?

Make a small donation to our campaign through our JustGiving page, and we’ll use our contacts and buying power to get the best value and variety of gifts. This helps us match the specific requests from our beneficiaries, based on the ages and needs of the children in their care.
At the end of the campaign, we’ll share all receipts so you can see exactly what was purchased and delivered.

If you’re local or a business with a larger quantity to donate, maybe you want a studio tour or meet the presenters, you’re welcome to deliver toys directly to our studios.
Drop-offs are accepted Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but please ensure your delivery arrives by Friday 5th December, to be included. Donations after this date may not reach the final delivery locations in time.
Free parking is available at our offices. When you arrive, ring the bell, and our team will be happy to assist with your delivery.
If it’s a big delivery, please email rob@kmfm.co.uk ahead of time so the team can prepare!

What types of toys or gifts are needed?
We’ll be delivering to various locations across Kent, including hospitals, care homes, and facilities supporting vulnerable or less fortunate children. Our recipients range from infants to early teens, so we welcome toys and gifts suitable for these age groups. Please feel free to donate items you believe are age-appropriate and will bring joy.
Is there a minimum or maximum donation size?
There are no restrictions on donation sizes—every gift, big or small, makes a difference. Some toys may stay within hospitals or care homes, while others might go home with young people, so feel free to give as generously as you can.
Are there any toys or items that aren't allowed?
Yes. We kindly ask that you avoid sending items like toy guns, swords, or other items that might be unsuitable for a hospital setting.
Should I wrap the gifts before donating?
No, please leave items unwrapped. This helps us categorise each gift by age group to ensure they go to the right recipients.
Can I donate second-hand toys?
Unfortunately, all donated items must be new. Due to health considerations, especially when delivering to children who may be unwell, we can only accept new items. If you have second-hand items, please consider donating them to a local charity shop.
Can I send sweet treats, like chocolates or other food items?
No, we’re unable to accept food items, including sweets or toys that come with food. This ensures safety and suitability for all recipients.
Which hospitals and care homes will receive the donations?
Last year, we delivered to multiple locations, and this year we aim to reach as many as possible. At the end of the campaign, we’ll post a list of the benefiting locations where possible, though some may remain confidential for safeguarding reasons. Rest assured, all donations will go to Kent and Medway facilities.
Will I be able to find out where my gift went?
While it’s not possible to track each individual donation, some gifts may appear in our post-campaign videos and promotions. With the high volume of gifts, we hope you understand the difficulty in providing individual tracking.
Can I donate on weekends?
We’re only able to accept donations Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in person. We hope you can stop by during these times, and you might even have a chance to meet Rob, Numi, Andy, Ben and Jack! If you’re unavailable during these hours, please consider sending an online delivery or contact us to make special arrangements.
Can I request toys for a specific hospital, care home, or facility?
Sure, head to kmfm.co.uk/give to contact us for more details.
