Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Margaret continues her charity work and is currently raising money to help Norfolk's NHS key workers during the Covid crisis. Click on this link to find out more.
Shortly after her second birthday, Anna Poppy was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had to endure a nine-hour operation and months of chemotherapy. Her family then received the devastating news that she also had a tumour on her spine and are raising funds to allow her to access alternate treatment abroad.
When I heard the news about Anna Poppy, I decided to use my next knitting project to support her and her family. Last year I attended the Norfolk Makers Festival at The Forum in Norwich and displayed my knitted Great Yarmouth seafront model to raise money for the Louise Hamilton Centre, based at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston. This year I have knitted Sandringham House and its grounds which will be going on display again at the Norfolk Makers Festival from February 8-23. I have been knitting for more than 12 hours a day since July to get it ready. Please support this cause and help this little girl in her battle against cancer.
Any additional funds will be donated to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
