I've raised £1000 to Raise funds for Kreslu Police Charity.

In April/ May this year, I will be taking part in an Arctic Expedition, and raising money for the Kreslu Police Charity.
To do this, I will be part of a group of four people that will be travelling to Svalbard, to cross from coast to coast, via climbing the highest mountain. We will be completely unsupported and unguided, relying on each of our own skills and experiences as a team. This is a self funded trip, and everything is paid for by myself.
The trip itself will involve skiing 165km from coast to coast (sea ice conditions allowing), in temperatures down to - 20 degrees, as well as dodging the 3000 polar bears that inhabit this island and avoiding the glacial crevasses we will be travelling over.
All of the logistics, planning and navigating will be down to us as a team, and we will haul all of our own kits on Pulks. The only outside involvement will be dropping us by Snowmobile to our start location.
The Charity itself, Kreslu, provides support to Police Officers, staff and volunteers injured in the line of duty. The charity focuses on Police based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, or those outside of Cornwall who may be injured here whilst supporting us in the Duchy.
Every year Police in Cornwall are seriously injured either by assaults or accidental injuries whilst on duty. Kreslu provide them with support and short respite breaks for the most seriously injured. Their website is www.kreslu.co.uk
