Story
Can you imagine living in a two room house made of mud and gravel built more than 150 years ago with several large holes in the roof and walls, no toilet, and no water or electricity?
This is the sad story of several (millions) poor families living in rural India. With your help we hope to help at least one.
Our aim is to help reconstruct a new home and supply them with all the basic amenities that so many of us take for granted (i.e electricity connection, gas supply for cooking, clean water for drinking & bathing, a sewage system).
We hope that with your help and support, we can help turn this dream into a reality for the Murthy family in 2021.
Sadly, Murthy's dad can no longer continue to earn a living as he has persistent lung issues. His mother tries her very best to find daily odd jobs and earns barely enough to put ONE meal on the table.
Feel free to give generously towards the overall goal of rebuilding the home for Murthy. Every £1,500 raised will help pay for a room. Additional costs (broken down from the total raise) are as follows:
- Painting a room £250
- Painting the full house £1,000
- Cost of a window £50
- Cost of a door £75
- Cost of the roof £750
Let’s rally together and be part of this cause. Thank you all ...
