The money raised from my project will be going to the charities Help Refugees and Age UK. The Syrian Refugee Crisis has been in our headlines since the conflict began in 2011, destroying lives, families, homes and childhoods and killing up to 470,000 people already. It is so easy to forget that it's happening whilst we snuggle down this Christmas. The disconnection we experience towards conflicts we are directly involved in as a nation, is astonishing. The refugee crisis is on our doorstep, and although as a nation we voted to continue involvement in the bombing of Syria, charities such as Help Refugees are doing fantastic work in supporting displaced families and individuals in Europe and elsewhere, providing clothing, food, education, sanitation, medical aid and search and rescue excursions.

No one should have no one, yet in the UK 1.2 million older people are chronically lonely, which breaks my heart. With both my grandma's widowed I would hate to think of any older person being lonely this Christmas. Age UK do fantastic work with well-being projects, clubs, phone-calls and home visits, celebrating and sharing the joy of having someone to talk to.

To get involved with my project you can buy a piece of bespoke, hand-made artwork, making a donation of your choice to a fantastic cause. Not only will your unique print make a fantastic gift for a loved one this Christmas, it will also help somebody else feel the love too. Prints are A4, will be sent in a card mount and can be posted to any UK address. If you have a colour preference, please let me know! The picture on this page is an example of how the mono print may look, although designs and colours will vary! Advised donation is £5 to cover postage and printing costs. I will cease taking orders on the 12th of December 2016.
