I've raised £500 to help Knaresborough Silver Band attend the 3rd Section National Finals in Cheltenham later this year

Knaresborough Silver Band has qualified for the finals of the Brass Band Championships of Great Britain to be held in Cheltenham this September! We need to raise £5000 to cover entrance fees, music, coach transport and accommodation. To kick start our fundraising campaign, we have put together a dream team to enter the 2018 Knaresborough Bed Race on Saturday June 9th. Our team of 6 includes 4 Cornet players, a Horn player and a Trombonist.... we also have a Flugel player as 1st reserve (and all play in a brass band for a reason - so we don't have to exercise as a hobby!!). The gruelling Knaresborough Bed Race follows a tough 2.4 mile course across the medieval cobbled streets of Knaresborough, steep grassy banks and a 20-yard swim across the fast-flowing River Nidd - all while pushing a bed, complete with passenger. The best teams take less than 15 minutes, our aim is to get round the course alive! Apparently, runners have to be "fit, fanatical and frankly a bit mad" - so far we have nailed the "frankly a bit mad" requirement!! We would be grateful for donations of any amount - no matter how small. Please help us to represent Knaresborough at the National Brass Band Championships!
