Story

Recently, one of the pupils at Castlebrae Community Campus was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma cancer. Kieran is an S4 pupil and an outstanding member of our school community. Since his diagnosis he has been undergoing chemotherapy which thankfully, he is responding well to.

Our longstanding relationship with the family here at Castlebrae, recognises the significant challenges and difficulties they have faced in recent months. Leanne (mum), Derek (Dad) and Myla (sister) have faced a tremendous period of stress and worry and will continue to do so over course of Kieran’s treatment.

As such, the school community, would like to raise funds. This will be used to make a donation to the cancer ward currently supporting Kieran and family. Alongside this, we hope to allow the family to use the funds as financial support and post treatment experiences.

As staff, parents, pupils and partners of Castlebrae CC we are running a programme of events where we hope provide opportunities for all, to raise funds for Kieran. Our first event will be a school santa dash on 20th December 2022. Please follow our journey as we share our events along the way.

It would mean a great deal to us if you could donate anything you can, your support is greatly appreciated.
