Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA) is the only charitable animal organization in Kenya, looking after the welfare of all domestic animals and upholding the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Our aims and objectives are to promote the protection of all kinds of animals, prevent cruelty to all animals and to rescue and relieve animals from all manner of suffering. The Society has been in existence in Kenya for almost 100 years and receives no official funding and is dependent upon its own fundraising efforts, membership subscriptions and private legacies, donations from the public. KSPCA is minimum kill shelter, and strive to give all animals quality of life.
Animal awareness and welfare is very low in this part of the world. Animals are not seen of any importance as people lack the education of animal welfare, and animal abuse is often seen as a norm and not reported unless known otherwise. The Kspca works to the best they can in helping animals in need. However, due to the lack of funding the facility is suffering with maintaining the shelter and operations.
The Kspca branch in Mombasa, is now on the verge of closing down due to lack of funding and support . It is only safe haven for animals there, without them a lot of animals will succumb to the worst of scenarios.
Your kind donations will help in the following ways:
- Field work and investigating complaints, Veterinary Treatments and upkeep of the clinic, Spaying and Neutering Campaigns, Rabies Campaigns, Maintaining and supporting other Kspca Units, Education and Promotion of Animal Welfare
-Support Kspca Mombasa
- Repairing and maintenance of the animals kitchen, kennels, feeding bowls, food and medication
