1st Event
Tough Mudder is more than just an obstacle course. Built on a foundation of teamwork and overcoming obstacles, it’s a chance to unplug from the daily grind, experience the unexpected, and accomplish something bigger than yourself.
Run like the wind over perfect green fields as you take on Tough Mudder at the home of the Badminton Horse Trials. We’ll bring world-class obstacles, thick mud and coveted headbands. You bring the teamwork, up-for-anything-attitude and good vibes. It’s a match made in mud-covered heaven.
2nd Event
"The Trident is an endurance event developed by former SF Operators and Royal Marines Commandos, combining three disciplines to represent the prongs of the trident spear, to test both mental and physical reliance.
The course starts with a ship-to-shore sea swim of approximately 1.5km inland towards the Jurassic Coast. An assault style cliff run follows, where participants will be tasked to track distinctive landmarks across a 14km route with several ascents and descents and an elevation gain of 600 meters. The 30km cycle course starts with a demanding climb on to country roads notorious for sudden uphill climbs.
All funds raised will be donated to the SBSA whose clear commitment to all past, present and future members and their dependants ensures a lifetime of support where necessary."The SBSA is a charity that provides an extended welfare system to its members. There are, sadly, a growing number of members and their dependants for whom, through physical or psychological injury, bereavement or adversity, the SBSA now has a responsibility. The SBSA fills a delta of need which, because of the special nature of the people they support, raises that support to a level of the very highest quality which is deemed to be appropriate. Your donations will make a tangible difference to the support given by the SBSA.
Kuno's story
Kuno was trained to be a Militray Working Dog and excelled. He knew his job and was good at it, so when the time came his handler was confident in Kuno’s abilities.
In 2019, Kuno was deployed as a Canine Protection and Detection dog overseas in direct support of specialist UK and host nation forces. Despite the mountainous, unforgiving and dangerous areas Kuno and his human colleagues found themselves in, he successfully conducted 16 operations over a 5-month period.
Kuno’s role was to detect explosives, find hidden weapons and incapacitate the enemy if ordered to do so. His team felt safe following wherever Kuno led them.
In May 2019, Kuno was deployed on another operation which would change his life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are fundraising for Kuno the British Military Working Dog. All donations will help towards the cost of his Prostetics & Orthotics braces, without these braces Kuno would no longer have the ability to move around and as a result, would have to be put down.
Together, let’s make sure he can have a life after the military that he deserves.
