Story
At the moment the playground at KVS isn’t fulfilling its full potential due to the age and condition of the play equipment and the ground conditions. It’s outdated, not much fun and, quite frankly needs a makeover.
With a revamp of the playground in our minds for sometime now The Friends Association has been setting aside fundraising for a few years. We are thrilled to have already raised an amazing £10k towards the project. The school budget also has money to donate from the sports premium. The two combined still don't quite achieve our target to enable the playground to be upgraded this school year. So we are asking for our community or "crowd" to help where they can.
Investing in children’s play is one of the most important things we can do to improve children’s health and wellbeing . Playgrounds can stimulate physical activity and provide positive childhood experiences. We want to create an environment that allows the children to explore, create, collaborate, socialise and simply to ‘be’ which are so important for health. We believe a upgraded playground could help attract more pupils to our Village school especially combined with our great ethos and recently upgraded Ofsted GOOD rating.
So if you can help by donating to this important fund please do. Every donation counts and gets us one step closer to being able to start work on improving the school playground - your children and future generations will benefit from your generosity.
