CDUK want to help the Kyebi Methodist primary school, Nsutu, Ashanti, Ghana which has 164 primary school children who lack even the basic necessities of clean drinking water and paper and pencils with which to learn. The pupils are from poor rural families of miners and subsistence cocoa farmers or unemployed struggling to make a living from the land.

Many of the children have never seen a computer and yet they need to compete with their city peers if and when they get to secondary school.

Teachers lack chalk and boards on which to write and the building itself has dangerous and crumbling floors, walls and leaking roofs and is completely insecure.

The school has no drinking water. Children fetch water from the nearby stream or from recent rainfall and are susceptible to disease
