Tanzania 2019

In January 2019 I will be travelling to Tanzania for a four week placement as part of my Nursing degree. During these four weeks I will be working alongside nurses and doctors in Tanzania and learning about the challenges that are often faced in countries such as Africa. I will be staying with a host family during my trip allowing me to really experience the culture and lifestyle that they have. This volunteering opportunity will also allow me to donate my time and skills directly to people in need. I will be embarking on this trip through an organisation called Projects abroad which began in 1992 and sends around 10,000 volunteers to work abroad nationally.

In the run up to the trip I will also complete a number of runs around the North West such as the Tunnel 10k, Rock & Roll half marathon, Glow run & colour dash 5k’s to support my trip to Tanzania. As I have never ran more than 5K before, this will be a huge challenge for me!

As this trip is self funded I would be extremely grateful for any donations which will be used directly for the trip costs.
