Story

I'm raising £1,000 for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Special Effect.

In memory of James Brown who sadly passed away in December 2022 at 37 years old, after a brave fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Although no cure was found for DMD during James’ lifetime, his family and friends will continue the fight against this devastating genetic illness and will therefore be donating 50% of any money raised to support the research into finding a cure.

We would also like to donate the other 50% to Special Effect - a charity who ensure people with disabilities are provided with adapted gaming/IT equipment, allowing them a means to entertainment and communication with the outside world.

Special Effect provide a life - enhancing service and we will be forever grateful for the support they provided James, enabling him to chat with friends online and play on his PS when this would otherwise not have been possible due to the restrictions of his disability.

Please donate and support these worthy causes.

You are also welcome to join us on 10th May for a charity football match at Maghull FC at 2.30pm - bring your family, friends, picnic etc. The bar will be open so leave your car at home!
