Nicole has Narcolepsy & Cataplexy that impacts on her daily life. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder characterised by excessive sleepiness, sleep paralysis and hallucinations that she has no control over. Cataplexy is a sudden brief loss of voluntary muscle tone triggered by strong emotion and her trigger is laughter.

She has real trouble staying awake when travelling and has invented the Narcolepsy Sleep Support System. This keeps her safe and comfortable when travelling in the car because travel pillows just don't work.

Nicole has worked so hard on this project and has just become Runner Up Junior UK Engineer of the year 2018 run by The Big Bang Fair and has won a special prize to attend Broadcom MASTERS as a rising star in engineering in Pittsburgh USA. However, in order for her to attend we need to raise funds for her to go as the sponsors only pay for basic travel and accommodation. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it will also help to secure her future as an engineer and maybe even make her invention a reality.

So Nicole would be extremely grateful for any help as we don't have a lot of time to raise funds as she goes in May.
