Story

Olivia is currently fighting a horrible hand she has been dealt...On the 4th of January this year she was diagnosed with a brain tumour aged 17 months. She has also lost much of her sight. At this time money should be the last thing on any parents mind so this fundraiser (along with others) has been set up to take some of that worry away

On the 10th of August I and whoever else i can trick into this (sorry Del Minney) plan on cycling a fixed gear track bike (one gear and no coasting) 170 miles from London to Paris. The plan is to do this in as close to 24 hours as our legs will allow.

The journey will start in an as yet confirmed part of London on the Friday afternoon, from there we will cycle 60 miles down to the ferry port of Newhaven. Next leg is a 4 hour overnight ferry to Dieppe in France. Then we depart from Dieppe around 4am for the leisurely (ahem) 110 mile cycle down to Paris.

Although I cycle to work occasionally this is a real challenge for me but is nothing compared to what Olivia and her parents (Lisa and Matt) are going through every day so please dig deep if for nothing else other than the picture updates of me close to tears trying to get up another hill without the option to change gear!
