    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

My name is Dinah Mulholland. I am standing to be selected as the next Labour Party candidate to represent the West Wales constituency of Preseli Pembrokeshire, against the Conservative Party's anti-gay, sext pest scandal ridden Stephen Crabb. I need your support to help me do this.

I am 56 years old, a single mum, and I work supporting learners in my local university on a zero hours, term-time only, contract. I have supported Jeremy Corbyn not just since his first leadership election, but for decades before that when real progressive socialism was under attack from New Labour.

***My belief in and commitment to the Corbyn project is proven:

My political background proves my commitment to the socialist priciples underpinning Corbyn’s project. I have been active in most important causes in recent socialist history; campaigning against the National Front, for striking miners, for Anti-Apartheid, and with Unite Against Racism, against domestic violence and abuse, and for women offenders and their families. I have never swayed in my commitment to ensuring we have strong unions to defend workers employment rights, or in opposing privatisation and supporting fully publicly funded services, and opposing unnecessary wars such as Iraq.

***Recent campaigns to support our communities:

I’ve been campaigning tirelessly to translate Corbyn's compassionate vision of social justice and equality ‘for the many’ to the Welsh political landscape since joining Labour in May 2015. These are some of the key campaigns I've led:

Grassroots anti-austerity campaigns to save Crown post offices and local residential homes.

Animal welfare issues - campaigning against puppy farming and against fox-hunting.

Campaigning to develop a local tenants union.

Developing a campaign for women offenders from Wales to have appropriate units here in Wales so that they can have family visits and maintain their connection to their communities.

I am also a Town Councillor, representing the views and voices of constituents in my local town.

***We have to defeat Crabb in the next election, and we need a strong, experienced, socialist campaigning voice to stand up to him.

I represented Ceredigion for Labour in the General Election in June 2017, on a pro-Corbyn ticket, and we more than doubled our vote. If selected to be the parliamentary candidate for Preseli Pembs I will be running against the virulently anti-gay, anti-Palestinian rights Conservative ex-minister Stephen Crabb, who while DWP Secretary unsuccessfully attempted to prosecute one of his constituents (whose severely disabled grandson required a room for a required 24 hour care) for non-payment of the bedroom tax. Crabb, a married man, professes devout Christianity but has been caught sexting young women, one of whom who had applied for a job with him and experienced his behaviour as an abuse of his office.

His personal behaviour is predatory and hypocritical. His political beliefs are deeply reactionary and reprehensible. We need a strong campaigner with a clear socialist focus who is willing and able to fight hard and defeat him at the ballot box.

***Campaigning for selection is very expensive, potentially costing £1000 or more.

The costs involved in standing are one of the reasons that so many working class people are put off standing for Parliament, and that's why our voices, that could be representing the interests of ordinary working people in the UK, do not get heard.

My campaign has been running on a shoestring, and working on a zero hour term-time only contract that shoestring is getting very threadbare. I need to cover costs such as travel expenses; printing and sending out selection campaign literature, producing a campaign video, and cover the costs of childcare. The costs involved in standing are one of the reasons that so many working class people are put off standing for Parliament, and that's why our voices, that could be representing the interests of ordinary working people in the UK, do not get heard.

If you would like to support me please give as much as you can, but not more than you can afford! If you are broke but want to support please retweet, like and share:

Thank you all very much. Between us all we can take forward Corbyn's message of compassion, social justice and equality, and deliver it in Wales and the rest of the UK, for the many!
