Story

Lady Bay Boxing Club was started in memory of our late Grandfather Mick Varley who was the last boxer from Nottingham to attend the Olympics, back in 1964. Boxing out of Clifton ABA for many years he was an enthusiastic coach who helped trained many young fighters over the years. When he passed away in 2018 from Cancer we decided to open this club to carry on in his name and bring boxing back to our local community. Out classes are available for everyone to enjoy no matter their age or ability and we work closely with the local community trying to give back where we can.
We provide all of the equipment for our classes and personal training sessions so everything is provided to learn boxing in a safe and fun environment.
In order to keep our club going, members of the Lady Bay Boxing Club will be running the Nottingham half marathon in September so that we can invest in better equipment for our members and further training for our volunteers. We hope you can help us raise all we can for our great little club and appreciate any support. Many thanks
