On Sunday, May 11th at 09:30 Lady Alyssa-Hope’s dad and older brother will take on a 20-mile non-stop kayaking challenge from Clacton Pier to Brightlingsea Marina — a journey expected to take around 5 hours at sea.

They’re paddling not just for the adventure, but to raise £750 to help for a new minibus for the local Clacton special education school that Alyssa-Hope attends — a school that has provided incredible support throughout her journey.

As many of you know, Lady Alyssa-Hope has Down Syndrome and other complex needs. Despite these challenges, she has shown incredible strength, having beaten both cancer and sepsis in recent years. She is truly a warrior, and this fundraiser is part of the ongoing effort to give back to the community that stands by her.

Important Notes:

The journey is weather and tide dependent for safety. If conditions aren’t right on May 11th, the event will be rescheduled for a better day in May or June.

While 20 miles might not seem far, kayaking this distance non-stop is physically demanding — every bit of encouragement counts!
