Story

Lambeth Council believes that people fleeing persecution and violence should receive a warm welcome and continuing support. The council has created Lambeth Sanctuary Services to make sure the voices of sanctuary-seekers are heard and improve equity of access to essential services.

On October 15th, the Sanctuary Services team will be joined by sanctuary-seekers, voluntary sector partners, councillors, commissioned providers and other Lambeth colleagues to complete a park run in Clapham Common.

We are raising funds for Lambeth Sanctuary Forum, an independent action group who support sanctuary-seekers in Lambeth. The money will be used to help provide essentials like toys for children, warm clothes, educational items.
