IN MEMORY OF SCOTT LAMMIE

Okay where do I start...as most will be aware every May/June there is normally a Memorial Match in memory of my Brother Scott Lammie who was tragically killed in 2009. At the time of his accident he was Oakley United JFC's No. 6 and had grew up eating, sleeping and breathing football. When Scott died Oakley United JFC retired their No. 6 jersey in his honour and almost every year have played some sort of part in his memory, for which our family are very grateful.

Due to Covid19 the Memorial Match is unable to go ahead this year. All who attend will know we normally arrange a raffle for a local good cause and all proceeds are donated.

Anyway i've gone on Facebook this morning to discover that Oakley United FC have been the victims of yet another breakin resulting in around £1,000 in damages plus had various items stolen 🤬 During this pandemic its really difficult for all local groups and clubs anyway, without people stealing from them, so after consulting with Oakley United, I have decided to run this Just Giving page until Friday 12th June (Scott’s 37th Birthday). All proceeds will be given to Oakley United FC in memory of Scott. This will act as this year’s local cause, as I know Scott would be gutted at this situation.

I know times are tough for everyone but every little helps!

Thank you
