Lamorna has been selected to be part of the 72nd Unit from the United Kingdom contingent to attend the 2019 World Scout Jamboree in North America. The Jamboree is three and a half weeks long and includes lots and lots of different activities including going on the second longest zipwire in the whole world. Ever since I was 6 and started Beavers I have dreamed of going on a World Scout Jamboree and now for me that dream is finally coming true. I am so lucky to have been chosen to be part of Unit 72 as only 27 young people from Cornwall are selected. We join together with 9 young people from Jersey to form our unit. This once in a lifetime opportunity means that I have to do a lot of fundraising to raise the total amount of £4000 pounds but I am going to be busy to complete my goal.
