Story

Hi

Me and my dad (Lana and Robert Dales) are running the London Marathon on the 23rd April 2023 as a father and daughter team for Leukaemia Care and Make A Wish Foundation. All proceeds raised will be split between the two charities.

It will be my first marathon and my dad's 4th marathon. We are enjoying some family rivalry during our training regime!! I think mine is going better!!

Both charities are extremely good causes, I am running for Leukaemia Care to raise important funds and awareness, and to ensure that everyone effected by Leukaemia receives the best possible diagnosis, information, advice, treatment and support. I lost my grandad to Leukaemia and I remember his hard battle, and so many other families go through the same so I just wanted to do my bit to help in any way I can.

Robert (Dad) is running for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Uk. To hopefully be able to provide some special wishes to children. Over 60,000 children in the UK have been diagnosed with a critical condition, changing their lives and the lives of their families. A wish can revive a childhood stolen by critical illness, he would love to be able to raise as much as possible to bring light and joy to these children.

I am officially this years youngest marathon runner which I am extremely proud of, I turn 18 the day before.

We thank you in advance for your kind donations.

Lana and Bob
