This is a charity very close to my heart as my eldest son Has williams syndrome which affects his life in every way. Williams syndrome is a rare condition that affects the learning ability, social skills and general abilty to do most tasks we take for granted to be easy. (Like tying shoes Laces, crossing the road safely).

Along with this syndrome (in most cases) comes with a heart condition that can affect thier life span. In my sons case, he had open heart surgery at 6 months old and has anual check ups to see when he will need another operation.

The williams syndrome charity is not very well known because the condition is so rare so donations are minimal so i am running for this charity as they do amazing work with families and people with williams syndrome and would like to give something back by donating as much money as i can.

The charity is truely amazing and helps families all across the world to have a bit of support and gives them chances to meet other families in the same boat because believe me you feel like the only person in the world going through this hard journey.

There is no cure for williams syndrome but the work of this charity means that we can learn more about the syndrome and how we can help people affected improve thier lives. It also gives families some much needed support by arranging meet ups and events so we can have a day out with other families with williams syndrome.

They are auch kind, friendly social people who deserve the same oppotunities as everybody else
