I've raised £1000 to Support the initiative from the "Friends of Latton Island" & stop the construction & development over the environment of the river Stort

"The Latton Island Community" strongly oppose the development of the proposed ‘central and eastern river crossing’. This proposal put forward by the developers of the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town (HGGT) that runs directly through wetlands, across lakes and will destroy huge areas of woodland. The damage to the habitat of the wildlife in the area will be damaged beyong repair. This area is the home to wildlife such as water voles, bats, rabbits, barn owls, wood peckers, weasels, badgers, cuckoos, kingfishers, deer, raptors, foxes, newts, frogs, bees… the list is endless.
Latton Island is a small community based on the River Stort in Harlow, Essex. Our community works hard on the conservation of the natural environment. We live and work alongside nature and uphold a Low Impact Philosophy in everything that we do on the Island. We are focused on restoring nature and helping to maintain wildlife and the natural habitat of native species.
Please join us in helping to protect our beautiful countryside and preserve our natural environment. ANY TYPE OF DONATION WILL BE WELCOME !!!
