Story

I’m running the Congleton Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd October 2022 in support of two great charities.

“Children are our greatest treasure. They are our future.” Nelson Mandela’s words perfect encapsulate my reasons for running the Congleton Half-Marathon to raise funds for two charities devoted to ensuring that if a child has a tough start to life, it doesn’t last a lifetime.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity is devoted to supporting Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as a world-class paediatric medical treatment facility, ensuring that the specialised needs of young patients and their families can be well looked after.

Made With Hope is a charity that seeks to empower children in rural Tanzania through better access to education and sanitation facilities in order to break the poverty cycle.

Though both charities might seem to be worlds apart, they are unified by the common goal of ensuring that a child’s adverse circumstances don’t last a lifetime. Please support me run one race to support Alder Hey Children’s Charity and Made With Hope.
