Story

In January I leave everything behind to embark on an exciting new adventure, volunteering in South Africa at Kruger National Park for two months starting in January 2019.

The project I am volunteering on is on the Balule game reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park, where I will be volunteering on the wildlife conservation research and reserve management project. This is a hugely worthwhile project where I will work on several different projects from animal counts, data collection of bird life and reserve maintenance. This volunteering work is vital and the money that is fundraised for the project supports the conservation efforts of the area.

The park is facing serious problems with a surge in poaching, tourist development and elephant population explosion. Last year 333 rhinos were killed illegally for their horn; by march this year 73 had already been shot

That’s a rhino a day, lost to poachers.

But to help make a difference, I need your help! Any contribution you can spare, no matter the size, can help fund the project in South Africa.

I am extremely passionate about this project and would love to talk to anyone about what their money would be going towards.

Thank you in advance for your contributions towards this incredible project.
