Byw mewn lliw Mehefin 26 2026 - Diwrnod i gofio, i gefnogi ac i godi arian.

Rydym fel ysgol wedi cefnogi’r digwyddiad Ras Fywyd – Race for Life ers 17 mlynedd bellach, ac wedi llwyddo i godi swm anhygoel o arian; £42,521.91! Rydym wedi cefnogi nifer o elusennau sy’n agos iawn at ein calonnau; Ymchwil Cancr, Canolfan Lingen Davies, Ysbyty Plant Birmingham, ‘Harry Johnson Trust’, Uned Oncology yn Ysbyty Telford, Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru, British Heart Foundation, Alder Hey, DPJ a Thŷ Gobaith ond i enwi ychydig.

Ers tair mlynedd bellach, penderfynwyd rhoi teitl newydd i’n diwrnod – Diwrnod Byw mewn Lliw. Diwrnod i gofio, i gefnogi, ac i godi arian. Diwrnod i atgoffa ein hunain bod angen gwneud y mwyaf o bob cyfle a gwerthfawrogi y bobl sydd o’n cwmpas. Braf hefyd oedd cael ysgolion ein clwstwr i ymuno â ni trwy drefnu ras yn eu hysgol. Diolch i ddisgyblion Ysgol Cwm Banwy, Ysgol Gymraeg y Trallwng, Dafydd Llwyd, Rhiwbechan a Phontrobert ynghyd â disgyblion Bro Caereinion am eu hymdrechion gwerth chweil i godi arian.

Y dyddiad pwysig, felly, yw dydd Gwener, 26 Mehefin 2026. Mae’n ddiwrnod i bawb, o’r Dosbarth Derbyn hyd at Flwyddyn 12. Gwahoddir y disgyblion i wisgo eu dillad eu hunain – po fwyaf lliwgar, gorau oll! Wrth gwrs, nid oes disgwyl i bawb gwblhau ras 5K, mae’n bwysig cofio mai’r nod yw mwynhau’r diwrnod. Felly beth am redeg, loncian neu gerdded wrth fwynhau sgwrs gyda ffrindiau?

Gobeithiwn yn fawr y byddwch yn hapus i gefnogi ein diwrnod Byw mewn Lliw ac fe werthfawrogwn pob cefnogaeth. Yn dilyn trafodaethau gyda’n disgyblion, penderfynwyd y byddwn eleni yn codi arian ar gyfer tri achos:

• Credu, sy’n cefnogi gofalwyr ifanc

• LATCH, sy’n cefnogi plant sy’n wynebu canser yma yng Nghymru

• Ysgol Bro Caereinion, er mwyn helpu i alluogi ein disgyblion i gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau allgyrsiol.

Mae codi arian yn gwbl ddewisol, ac nid oes unrhyw bwysau ar neb i wneud hynny. Fodd bynnag, os hoffech godi arian, mae ffurflen noddi ynghlwm wrth y llythyr hwn. Gofynnir yn garedig i chi ddychwelyd y ffurflen wedi’i chwblhau ac unrhyw arian a gasglwyd i’r ysgol ar ddiwrnod y ras. Fel arall, gellir gwneud cyfraniadau drwy ddolen JustGiving.

Byw mewn lliw Mehefin 26 2026 – A day to remember, to support and raise money.

We as a school have now supported the Race for Life event for 17 years and have successfully raised an incredible £42,521.91. Over the years, we have supported a number of charities that are very close to our hearts, including Cancer Research UK, Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, Birmingham Children's Hospital, The Harry Johnson Trust, the Oncology Unit at Telford Hospital, Wales Air Ambulance, British Heart Foundation, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, DPJ Foundation, and Hope House Children's Hospices, to name but a few.

For the past three years, we have given the event a new title, Byw mewn Lliw - Live in Colour Day. It is a day to remember, to support, and to raise money. It is also a day to remind ourselves to make the most of every opportunity and to appreciate the people around us. It has been wonderful to see schools within our cluster join us by organising their own races. We would like to thank the pupils of Ysgol Cwm Banwy, Ysgol Gymraeg y Trallwng, Dafydd Llwyd, Rhiwbechan, and Pontrobert, together with the pupils of Bro Caereinion, for their worthwhile efforts in raising money.

The important date is therefore Friday, 26 June 2026. It is a day for everyone, from Reception through to Year 12. Pupils are invited to wear their own clothes—the more colourful, the better! Of course, there is no expectation that everyone completes a 5K. It is important to remember that the aim of the day is to have fun. So why not run, jog, or walk while enjoying a chat with friends?

We very much hope that you will be happy to support our Living in Colour Day, and we greatly appreciate all support. Following discussions with our pupils, it was decided that this year we will raise money for three causes:

• Credu, which supports young carers

• LATCH, which supports children facing cancer here in Wales

• Ysgol Bro Caereinion, to help enable our pupils to take part in extracurricular activities.

Fundraising is entirely optional, and there is no pressure on anyone to do so. However, if you would like to raise money, a sponsorship form is attached to this letter. Please return the completed form and any money collected to the school on the day of the race. Alternatively, donations can be made via a JustGiving link.
