The following Facebook post from Tree Vaughan-Hannaway prompted me to set up this page, with Tree's permission;

"The best thing about the NHS is having the best treatment available with no financial implications. Unfortunately the start of my treatment was 6 months ago and our lovely NHS (who is my employer) only gives me full pay till now. I am booked in for further surgery (yes the shite has spread) at the end of the month. The best treatment is to crack my chest and remove it all. This will have a recovery time of 8 to 12 weeks leaving me basically broke! My only option is to have the lesser effective treatment with a quicker recovery time (laproscopically) and hope it doesn't spread further when I can afford more sick time next year to get it done properly. Unless anyone has a better suggestion other than a payday loan to cover my halved waged for a few months."

This was my suggestion, to ask all of Tree's friends and family, their friends and family and so on to help raise some money to help Tree get through the next few months while she battles cancer. Nobody should have to put their health second. Tree should be able to have the most effective treatment now, not next year!

Please help to get Tree's chest cracked open in style! We've worked out that if we raise £3,000, this will cover what she needs. Anything extra of course would be more than welcome. So please, dig deep, any amount from you would help, even if it's just a pound!
